Change wallpaper?

[danaYatsuta]

Hello, thank you for the app! Is there a way to use it to change wallpaper? My goal is to change wallpaper at sunset and dawn.

Hi! I checked the current source: the sunrise/sunset part is supported, but I couldn't find a built-in action that replaces the wallpaper image 🙂

There are presets for At sunrise and At sunset, including offsets. The dim_wallpaper option under Zen rules only dims the existing wallpaper; it doesn't select another image.

For your goal, the missing piece is the wallpaper-changing action. OpenTasker supports Locale/Tasker action plugins, so a compatible wallpaper plugin could be a route if you already use one, but I haven't tested a particular plugin and wouldn't promise compatibility. Otherwise, a built-in “Set wallpaper” action would be a useful feature request.

Sources I checked:

• Sunrise/sunset presets
• Current action metadata

Which OpenTasker version are you on? This is based on the current source, so it helps distinguish a missing capability from a version difference.
