Prepare the 0.2.2 patch release containing the filtering, error-handling and generation fixes merged in #44. Move those changes from Unreleased into a dated changelog entry and update the gem version and lockfile.

Align the docs site's Node declarations with its Node 22 runtime, superseding the Node 26 type upgrade in #35. Keep future type-only major upgrades out of Dependabot, document the Node 22.18 minimum required by cspell 10, and commit the TypeScript settings generated by Next.js 16. Update the locked crass parser to 1.0.7 to address its CSS number parsing denial-of-service advisory.

Validation:

  • task ci RAILS_VERSION=8.1.2: passed, including 508 Ruby unit tests, 78 Rails integration tests, 184 JavaScript tests, type checks, lint, spellcheck and RBI verification.
  • cd docs && pnpm check: passed, including the production export, internal links, five static integration tests and 14 Playwright tests. Typecheck and Biome also passed after formatting Next.js's generated TypeScript settings.
  • Built logstruct-0.2.2.gem and verified its version and required packaged files.

Published LogStruct 0.2.2 on RubyGems after CI and docs deployment passed on the merged commit. All 14 browser tests passed against the live site, and the downloaded RubyGem passed checksum verification, Rails loading and filtering smoke tests.

The Terraform provider GitHub release also succeeded. Terraform Registry publication remains blocked by the ingestion problem tracked in HashiCorp issue #67. The current signing key BD2DE4CA3CF5BA4D is already registered; Provider PR #1 updates the stale public-key copy in the repository. Claimed namespaces receive GitHub App events, so the absence of a repository webhook is expected. The reported Resync preview would remove existing versions and must not be confirmed. Normal Registry installation of 0.2.2 remains unverified.

Development guidance and docs prerequisites specify Node.js 22.18 or later in the 22.x series. QA — 2026-10-21, commit 720497e4fda1e6e53285f97b431694e093badf11:

  • task ci RAILS_VERSION=8.1.2 passed on Ruby 3.4.5, Node 22.19.0 and pnpm 10.18.3: 508 unit tests / 2,626 assertions, 78 Rails integration tests / 480 assertions, 184 JavaScript tests, lint, type checks, spellcheck and RBI verification. Combined Ruby coverage: 93.08%.
  • cd docs && pnpm check passed: production export, internal links, five static integration tests and 14 browser tests. Rechecked TypeScript and Biome after formatting the Next.js-generated configuration.
  • Built the 0.2.2 gem and verified its version and required packaged files.

Local environment notes: Homebrew's optional libvips ImageMagick plugin could not load its installed ImageMagick library; the Rails tests passed. pnpm left the optional @parcel/watcher build script disabled, and Playwright reported conflicting color environment variables; docs tests passed. These did not require repository changes.

Live documentation and published package verification will follow the merged main build and release.

Release QA — 2026-10-21, v0.2.2, commit e36b919a651c0f42e4a7410e578e84e71837503d:

Registry publication remains incomplete: the public API lists versions only through 0.1.12. The current signing key is already registered. The blocker is tracked in hashicorp/terraform-registry-support#67. Claimed namespaces receive GitHub App events, so no repository webhook is expected. Do not confirm the reported Resync preview that would remove published versions. Normal Registry installation of 0.2.2 remains unverified.

Correction (2026-10-21): the earlier claim that key registration and a missing repository webhook caused the ingestion failure was unsupported.
