Issues

• Distortion: a move to patch 7 before the first pull stays 1-2 LSB off a fresh build at 22.05 kHz

• CircuitPython and native builds differ from desktop output on reset_buffer and odd buffer sizes

PyDevices/audiocomponents#158 · Filter by author bdbarnett opened on Oct 15, 2026

• Exciter: a reset on 100-frame buffers leaves the output 28 frames ahead

• Control jumps step the output in the older effects (clicks on quick knob moves)

• 36 of 45 effect classes declare no KIT_PLANTS, so the plant check proves nothing for them

• Some effects tests flag clean output: wrap and rail on held or ringing signals, and silence at zero level

• 23 effect classes don't state an input ceiling, so a full-scale input can reach the rail

• Some effects report no tail length where a finite one exists

PyDevices/audiocomponents#146 · Filter by author bdbarnett opened on Oct 14, 2026

• A NaN constructor option renders neither the default nor zero; a fractional macro is re-quantised by set_macro

PyDevices/audiocomponents#145 · Filter by author bdbarnett opened on Oct 14, 2026

• Two claims tests fail depending on how they are run, and some test modules need scipy and a built CircuitPython

PyDevices/audiocomponents#144 · Filter by author bdbarnett opened on Oct 14, 2026

• 29 effect classes have no CLAIMS table, and eight more have sentences with no row

• Overdrive, mono: a fresh instance's first 8 frames play about 1.28x too loud
