This PR introduces a revamped version of https://github.com/apache/activemq-website. A live version can be found in https://activemq-proposal.netlify.app.

The new website is based on Docusaurus and uses PageFind for the documentation search functionality. All the content from the original website repository is here, updated today (Oct 23, 2026). The content was migrated do Docusaurus using Claude Code.

This is a massive PR, it is unfeasible to review it line-by-line, but we can review the website running locally or the netlify app. The README.md file contains instructions on how to run the website locally.

A few things to note:

  1. All the URLs are the same as the original website so all existing links and bookmarks will continue to work.
  2. The documentation in the original website has some redundancy (for example: https://activemq.apache.org/components/classic/documentation/version-5-hello-world and https://activemq.apache.org/components/classic/documentation/hello-world). In these cases I kept both versions, so existing links still work. However the navbar in the documentation page only shows the pages that seemed to be newer.
  3. The TODO.md file contains some ideas and feedback that I've compiled from discussions with different people. My suggestion is to address them iteratively.
