resolve: memoize jsDeclarationReachable's candidate-side walk - #566
The declarator walk in js_declaration_reachable (declaration point → parent chain → variable_declarator/function_declaration) depends only on the candidate — the ref enters only through visible(scope, refPoint).
On minified bundles (the pretix batch-4 straggler: d3/fabric/pdf.js), a hot name yields hundreds of same-file candidates and the climb re-ran once per ref. Memoize per candidate id: Some(scope) found-with-scope, Some(None) found-global, None no-declarator (verdict None).
Follows the existing lexical_scope_memo/python_bound_memo pattern; verdict-identical by construction (the walk is ref-independent).
Validation
kernel-resolve-parity.test.ts: 8/8.
Kernel quick build clean.
Owed before merge: pretix graph-count parity + batch-4 wall re-measure (memoization is a same-verdict transform, but the corpus gate stands per AGENTS.md).

Improvements
JavaScript declaration resolution now reuses previously computed scope results while analyzing references, reducing repeated work. Cached results are checked against each reference’s position, and unsuccessful searches are also remembered during resolution. This can make analysis more efficient when multiple references involve the same candidate declaration, while maintaining scope-aware resolution behavior.
The parent-chain climb from a candidate's declaration point to its
variable_declarator/function_declaration depends only on the candidate —
the reference enters only through visible(scope, refPoint). On minified
bundles a hot name yields hundreds of same-file candidates and the climb
re-ran once per ref.
Memoize the walk result per candidate id (three states: declarator found
with scope, found global, not found). The per-ref cost collapses to a
hash hit plus the visible() range check.

Walkthrough
The resolver now memoizes JavaScript declaration-scope lookup results by candidate node ID. It uses cached results to check declaration visibility at the current reference position.
KernelResolver initializes a memo keyed by candidate node ID. js_declaration_reachable checks cached scopes and stores the binding scope or a no-match result.
Priority: Low
Merge Risk: Low · previous review ad652
A narrow cross-language resolution case can incorrectly accept or reject a reference; include the reference language in the memo key before merging.

Explanation
The title names the main change: memoizing the candidate-side walk in jsDeclarationReachable. The raw summary shows js_scope_upstream.rs caching each candidate declaration's binding scope by node ID, and mod.rs adding the memo field to KernelResolver. The PR objectives describe the same cache keyed by candidate ID, so the title matches the changeset. It is specific and concise, and it does not use vague terms.
Full details: User-Visible Changes Documented
Explanation
The pull request changes only internal resolver memoization in two Rust files. The diff does not add, remove, or rename a CLI command or flag, MCP tool or argument, supported language or framework, agent target, or config key. README.md and site documentation updates are therefore not required.

Corpus gate run on pretix (1,472 files): exact graph parity — 32799 nodes / 73404 edges / 165700 refs, identical to pre-change. Resolution wall flat (~4.73s vs ~4.75s): the memo removes the per-ref declarator-climb worst case but the corpus residual sits in other per-candidate gates on unflagged vendored files. Verdict-identical by construction; merging as a defensive micro-opt, not a headline win.

CodeRabbit on #566: parsed_tree selects its parser from r.language, so
the same candidate can walk a different tree under typescript vs
javascript refs — memoizing by candidate id alone could reuse a scope
computed under the wrong parse. Key by (candidate id, ref language);
type alias for the three-state value keeps clippy's complexity gate.

The #566 memo sat behind read_file, js_binding_tree (format! + tree LRU
+ Rc clone) and two js_unit_to_byte scans — the preamble was the residual
cost the memo couldn't see. A hit now needs no tree; a missing or global
scope needs no source either.
Two adjacent same-loop wins: is_lexically_reachable's bare regex gains a
one-entry memo keyed on reference_name, and prefer_adjacent_implementations
skips its HashSet build unless a .d.ts candidate exists.
pretix parity exact (32799/73404/165700); resolution 4.73s -> 4.57s.
Adds the six landed rows to the benchmark follow-up table and updates the
measured head + README revision. pretix settle: 4.73 -> ~3.5 s (-26%,
two profiled runs) across #569-#572 with exact graph parity.
