EasyHttpMock is an open-source Rust ecosystem for building fast, realistic HTTP mock servers used in automated testing. The organization focuses on helping developers test API clients, internal services, and integration flows without depending on external infrastructure.
Our projects are designed to fit modern async Rust applications and support multiple runtimes while keeping the API simple, deterministic, and easy to adopt.
We build tools for:
- HTTP client testing
- API simulation in unit and integration tests
- Async runtime compatibility across Rust ecosystems
- Local mock servers for fast, repeatable validation
- TLS and HTTPS testing scenarios
| Repository | Purpose |
|---|---|
| easyhttpmock | Main crate and core server implementation for HTTP mocking in Rust. |
| easyhttpmock-vetis-tokio | Tokio runtime adapter for Vetis-based HTTP mock behavior. |
| easyhttpmock-vetis-smol | Smol runtime adapter for lightweight async testing workflows. |
| easyhttpmock-vetis-compio | Compio runtime adapter for async workloads using the Compio runtime. |
| easyhttpmock-vetis-glommio | Glommio runtime adapter for high-performance async and system-oriented environments. |

- Lightweight and test-friendly API
- Support for realistic request matching and response shaping
- Works across different async runtimes
- Suitable for local and CI-based test environments
- Designed to reduce brittle dependencies on external services
- Mocking external APIs during client tests
- Simulating service responses in integration tests
- Reproducing edge cases and failure scenarios locally
- Validating request and response behavior without network setup
- Testing TLS and HTTPS interactions in a controlled environment
The main project and runtime-specific packages are published as Rust crates and intended for use in Cargo-based projects.

We believe the best testing tools are easy to understand, easy to run, and reliable enough to be part of everyday development workflows. EasyHttpMock is built around that principle: keep the API clean, the runtime support broad, and the testing experience predictable.
The organization is actively building and extending the Rust HTTP mocking ecosystem. Contributions, issue reports, and runtime-specific improvements are welcome as the project continues to grow.
