Summary

  • Reuse one journal sequencer per stream within each factory so separate persistence consumers share confirmed sequence progress.
  • Seed each stream from its durable journal tail only on first access.
  • Keep persistence instances independent, with no changes to the backfill system change or local payload deduplication.

Testing

  • Observed RED: two factory tests failed with independent counters before the fix.
  • Focused factory tests pass after the fix.
  • Core module suite: 350 tests passed, none skipped.
  • Core module spotlessCheck and git diff --check passed.
  • Maintainer additionally reports successful full builds and complete test suites on both the master-based fix and the backfill branch with the fix applied.
