Team state lags: the serving Mac's member list, People vs sidebar, and Team setup's default #686
Description
Team state still lags in places after #680/#682. Seen in the two-Mac re-check V3 on Canary 0.0.54.96 (beb17a0), natembp (iamnbutler) and nate16-1 (samechocolixir, serves the directory).
What was seen
- The serving Mac's
In the directorydoesn't follow a join. Sam approved Nate's Ask to join at 9:29. Sam's open Settings → Team keptnatembp · Synced 9:24:19 AMandServed by this Mac … · Synced 9:26:50 AMfor over a minute without changing.ace-canary directoryon nate16-1 saidSynced 4m ago.Only the joining Mac's view updated live. Map ^901. - People lags the sidebar. When Sam's Ace Helper stopped at 09:17:40, Nate's sidebar marked Sam's sections
· Offlineby 09:17:47. People still said SamOnlineuntil the directory sync failed (Sync failed at 9:18:24 AM: nate16-1, which serves the directory, is offline.), and showed Offline at the next look, 09:19:19. Map ^101. - Team setup pre-selects "You're the first". On the Mac asking to join, Team setup shows "samechocolixir on nate16-1 is in a team." with Ask to join, but the selected option below is "Get your team started — You're the first on this tailnet." (Same family as Team setup on the directory's own Mac says "You're the first on this tailnet" #604, on the asker's Mac.) Map ^120.
- The sidebar's Offline is hard to see.

Expected
- The serving Mac's Settings → Team updates when a member joins or syncs.
- People and the sidebar flip together.
- Team setup pre-selects Join when a teammate is already in a team.
- Offline is visible without hovering.

Two-Mac re-check V4 on Canary 0.0.54.97 (009665e, #689):
Fixed:
· Offlineat 10:19:12 and People at 10:19:13; both were back Online at 10:20:46 (^101).· Offlineis never cut off now (^104). The name is cut instead (ace2 — githubn… · Offlineloses the owner, with no hover tooltip), and sections re-sort while offline; minor.samechocolixir on nate16-1 is in a team.(^120). The unselected option still saysYou're the first on this tailnet.Still wrong:
In the directorydoesn't follow a rejoin. natembp left in the app and rejoined withace-canary directory http://100.119.196.79:4142/directory(printedJoined, no approval) at 10:25:48 and again at 10:32:29, while samechocolixir watched an open Settings → Team on nate16-1. Neither time did natembp leave or return there; it keptnatembp · Synced 10:31:10 AMlive and after a reload at 10:37, while natembp's own Settings saidSynced 10:32:30 AM. Two-Mac re-check V5 on Canary 0.0.55.99 (370b009, #692/#693): everything here is now seen working.
In the directoryfollows a leave and rejoin. natembp left in the app at 12:00:03 and rejoined withace-canary directory http://100.119.196.79:4142/directoryat 12:00:45. samechocolixir's open Settings → Team on nate16-1 dropped natembp within ~10 s and showed it back asnatembp · Synced 12:00:45 PMwithin ~10 s of the rejoin, with no reload or Refresh (^901).Left the directory.(^115).· Offlinein the same second and back together, keptsamechocolixir · Offlinewhole, carry the full name as a title, and didn't re-sort (^104).Leftovers, minor and tracked on the map: offline headers shrink the project name to one letter (
