  • Packaging: PEP 621 pyproject.toml with hatchling, [dependency-groups] (test, docs) and uv.lock (all deps at latest via uv lock --upgrade). Removed setup.py, setup.cfg, MANIFEST.in, tox.ini, requirements_dev.txt and the stale .bumpversion.cfg. Wheel contents are identical to the setuptools build (minus top_level.txt); the version now comes from commercetools/version.py (was stale at 2023.6.29, set to 2026.10.12).
  • The test/docs extras are gone (now dependency groups) — noted in CHANGES.md.
  • CI: astral-sh/setup-uv, tests on 3.11–3.14 via uv run, ruff format --check + ruff check, docs build job. Tests run on push to main and on pull requests.
  • Docs: Read the Docs installs the docs group with uv; intersphinx config fixed for Sphinx 9; added sphinx-rtd-theme.
  • Release: PyPI trusted publishing (OIDC, environment: pypi) instead of pypi_password; setup-uv without cache; actions updated with pinact (7-day min age). The trusted publisher must be configured on pypi.org (workflow python-release.yml, environment pypi).
  • README: PyPI badge under the title, workflow badge updated.

Supersedes Dependabot #153 and #155.

Replace setup.py/setup.cfg/MANIFEST.in/tox.ini/requirements_dev.txt with a PEP 621 pyproject.toml (hatchling), dependency groups and uv.lock. The version is read from commercetools/version.py, which was stale. Read the Docs installs the docs group with uv; fix the intersphinx config for current Sphinx and add sphinx-rtd-theme.
