Adds a minimum dependency age for uv, mirroring the 14-day minimumReleaseAge used with pnpm in the JS repos (supply-chain protection against freshly published malicious releases).

  • [tool.uv] exclude-newer = "14 days": uv only resolves distributions uploaded at least 14 days ago. The lockfile records it as exclude-newer-span = "P14D".
  • Locked versions newer than the cutoff that fix published advisories (or that pyproject.toml pins to) are kept through [tool.uv.exclude-newer-package] entries. Each has a comment and can be removed after 2026-11-09.
  • Other recently released packages are moved back to the newest release that is at least 14 days old.

CI still runs uv sync --locked, and uv lock --check passes.
