Situation

actions/setup-node does not currently accept an input option node: 27 to select Node.js 27 pre-release, however the parameter latest does achieve the goal of using 27.0.0-alpha.*. See also feature request actions/setup-node#1657

Change

Add latest to the node-version matrix of the test-module job in the workflow .github/workflows/test-module.yml so that modules can be tested in GitHub Actions against the released Node.js 27.0.0-alpha.*.

Change dependency installation from npm ci to npm install, since npm@12 does not recognize npm-shrinkwrap.json.

Checklist
  • npm test passes
  • contribution guidelines followed
    here

Test with body-parser which succeeds in all tests.
