Briefs

• Links go to official sources where they exist: MDN, the WHATWG HTML spec, Node.js docs and the V8 blog; docs.python.org and PEPs; the Rust book, std docs, reference, Nomicon, Cargo docs and Rust blog; the Solidity docs, EIPs, OpenZeppelin Contracts 5.x and Chainlink docs; the TypeScript handbook, tsconfig reference, release notes and TypeScript blog. Crates and tools link to docs.rs or their own sites; general CS terms link to Wikipedia.
• Solidity links C3 linearization to Python's MRO howto, since the Wikipedia article is gone. Foundry docs and GitHub READMEs render anchors client-side, so those links have no fragment.
• Wording is unchanged except for these corrections:
  • javascript: Temporal and explicit resource management are ES2027; fetch also rejects on an invalid URL or options; Array.prototype.fill can repack a holey array (V8, February 2025).
  • python: the free-threaded build can delay refcount deallocation; multiprocessing can pass sockets, so the unpicklable example is open file objects.
  • rust: Eq is an equivalence relation and Ord the total order; derived enum ordering follows discriminants; rc::Weak and sync::Weak both listed; the elision rules are three bullets.
  • solidity: library view functions use DELEGATECALL, so STATICCALL doesn't enforce them; require(cond, MyError()) needs 0.8.26 (via-IR) / 0.8.27 (legacy).
  • typescript: TypeScript 7.0 (July 2026) ships as tsc in the typescript package, 8–12× faster with parallel checking and no compiler API until 7.1; 6.0 deprecations error unless ignoreDeprecations: "6.0"; node10 is removed in 7.0.
