Reviewed all 19 briefs for coverage, then added the commonly asked gaps (P1) and applied every trim and merge. The briefs go from 619 to 645 concepts.

Additions (56 concepts, in all 19 briefs)

  • Fundamentals
    • Algorithms: an input-size → complexity table, heap patterns, Kadane, reservoir sampling and Fisher–Yates.
    • Databases: join pitfalls, why an index isn't used, Redis eviction and expiry, MongoDB.
    • Distributed: delivery guarantees, change data capture, monotonic clocks, the ordering problem when Kafka adds partitions.
    • Networking: connection failure signatures, retransmission and RTO, routing tables, client IP behind proxies.
    • OS: process states, atomic file replace, CAS and ABA, memory-hierarchy latencies.
    • System design: Little's law, percentile and cardinality pitfalls, multi-region and DR tiers, video streaming.
  • Languages
    • Go: encoding/json gotchas, nil map writes, defer cancel(), work stealing.
    • JavaScript: async/await ordering, fetch semantics, hidden classes.
    • Python: spawn and pickling, shared class attributes, numeric gotchas, recursion depth.
    • Rust: integer overflow and casts, Eq/Ord/Hash, niche layout, tokio::spawn bounds.
    • Solidity: clones and CREATE2, admin keys and governance, ERC-1271 signatures, front-running and slippage.
    • TypeScript: runtime validation, {} vs object, function assignability.
  • Web
    • Backend: schema evolution, multi-tenancy, time handling.
    • Frontend: fetching in effects, state snapshots, error boundaries, browser storage.
    • Security: CORS simple requests, secure randomness, password reset, resource-exhaustion attacks.
  • Infrastructure
    • AWS: ALB vs NLB, cross-account access, S3 and CloudFront access, cost drivers.
    • DevOps: Pod security, count vs for_each, HPA and KEDA, incident response.
  • Domains
    • AI: the training pipeline, model parallelism, filtered vector search.
    • Ethereum: precompiles, RPC block tags and reorgs, ZK proof systems, EIP-7702 risks.

Trims (30 fewer concepts)

  • Cut definition-level concepts, standard-library listings, version trivia, and support-status lines that go stale.
  • Folded one-bullet concepts into related ones.
  • Removed three duplicates between briefs:
    • Solidity's oracle bullet now links to ethereum.
    • Backend's upload bullet now links to system.
    • AWS KMS now links to security.
  • Two replacements came with the trims:
    • The Master theorem replaces Algorithms' worked recurrences.
    • Context performance replaces Frontend's "Where state lives".

Structure

  • AGENTS.md: the suggested size is now 5–20 sections per brief. The ownership table names the new concepts' owners: CDC, capacity math, DR tiers, schema evolution, multi-tenancy, time handling, browser storage.
  • Solidity: Security is split into Security and a new Integration risks section.
  • DevOps: a new Kubernetes security section.
  • Security: Supply chain and Threat modeling merge into Secure development.
  • Python: Typing and Recent language features merge into one section.

The review file used during the work was added and then deleted within this branch, so it isn't in the final diff.

Testing

  • python3 scripts/lint_briefs.py: 19 briefs, 0 problems.
  • zensical build --clean --strict: no issues.

Add the 72 commonly asked gaps from coverage-review.md across all 19
briefs (56 new concepts), split Solidity Security into Security and
Integration risks, add a Kubernetes security section in DevOps, raise
the suggested section limit to 20, and record new concept owners in
the AGENTS.md ownership table. The review file now ticks the P1 items
and drops the Java suggestions.

Cut definition-level concepts, standard-library listings, version
trivia, and stale support-status lines; fold one-bullet concepts into
related ones; and remove the three cross-brief duplicates. Two P2
additions come along because trims depended on them: the Master
theorem replaces the worked recurrences, and Context performance
replaces "Where state lives". Concepts go from 675 to 645.
