Stacked on #506. It fixes the app-a11y gaps the eval run found.

What changes for the agent

App report summary. Page 1 of an app build or manual report now counts the issues by severity, rule and screen. "Which screen is worst" or "how many critical" no longer means paging through every issue. The summary names the 10 screens with the most issues and gives a count for the rest. Rule and screen names are wrapped as untrusted, since test names come from user code.

compareWith for app builds ("previous", or an earlier build's id or link). The answer lists new issues, resolved issues and a count still open. This closes the scan → fix → verify loop for apps:

  • Issues are matched by rule + element: the element's id, or else its class and its text or label. Screen numbers are left out of the match because a fix can shift them.
  • Look-alikes are matched one for one, same screen and position first. Look-alikes are issues of one rule on elements with no id or label, which is common on iOS. So new + still open adds up to this build's total, and resolved + still open to the earlier build's, and the answer states both totals.
  • cursor pages through the new and resolved lists, 50 at a time, and the answer gives the next cursor.
  • "previous" means the newest earlier build of the same name. Native (Espresso/XCUITest) runs are each named apart, so for them it falls back to the build just before, and the answer says so.
  • The answer warns when the two builds scanned a different number of screens, or when tests from the earlier build didn't run. An issue on a screen that wasn't reached looks resolved without being fixed.
  • Errors are given for a project's first build, for comparing a build with itself, and for non-app sources.

Exact "N more issues". Past page 1, the count was estimated from the first row's size, so it drifted. pageOf now returns remaining exactly. A row larger than a page is still returned on a page of its own, so paging can't stall on it. This applies to web reports too.

Bugs fixed

  • Dashboard link opened the wrong build. App Accessibility numbers builds per build name, so builds with different names in one project share numbers (several "Are new tools coming? #1"s). Links were matched on number alone. They now match on normalised name + number, and the name is compared unescaped, so %3A and : are treated the same.
  • Old Espresso/XCUITest links didn't resolve. The native-build link mapping walked the account's newest 300 App Automate builds to find the build's name, which missed older runs. It now looks in the project's newest builds for an accessibility build created within 2 minutes of the run's start_time; in practice they are ~1–2s apart. The name is still used to tell apart runs that started at the same moment, and as the fallback.

Changes after review

  • Screens a later build never reached are not counted as resolved. Screens are numbered by scan order, so comparing builds that scanned a different number of screens read every issue on a skipped screen as resolved: build Update README.md #3 of an iOS app (3 screens) against add MCP server badge #2 (5 screens) gave 111 resolved. Screens are now recognised by the elements on them; when the screen counts differ, issues on an earlier screen no later screen resembles are listed as not confirmed resolved, and issues on a later screen with no earlier counterpart as first scanned, not new. The same comparison now reads 1 resolved, 113 not confirmed.
  • A failed page of a project's build list is the failure, not the end of the list, on the first page or a later one; it had made a build with earlier ones read as its project's first.
  • A native run matches only a build that can be native: an SDK build (pytest, …) started at the same moment in the same project is no longer taken for it.

Notes for review

Eval run (isolated Claude Code sessions, claude-opus-5-5)

All 48 app-a11y cases plus 5 new scan → fix → verify cases ran on this branch with #510's device fix. The 5 loop cases use a local Android app with 8 seeded issues and four fixed variants.

  • Same 48 cases: 46 Pass, 2 Partial. On the feat(accessibility): list App Accessibility builds and reports, and read manual reports #506 build they were 42 Pass, 4 Partial, 1 Fail, 1 Blocked.
  • Now passing:
    • the old Espresso link
    • comparing two iOS runs: 4 calls instead of hitting the turn cap
    • vague "check my app" asks in MCP-only sessions
    • the Espresso follow-up
  • Loop cases: 4 Pass, 1 Partial. In the Partial case the agent found the ineffective fixes by reading the code but didn't rescan.

Two commits on this PR came from that run:

  • one-for-one matching: the iOS comparison had collapsed 48 issues into 18 "still open"
  • paging the comparison lists

Verification

  • npm run build passes on Node 22: lint, prettier, 1447 tests, tsc.
  • Live, against the API, with the built dist:
    • An Espresso build link older than the newest 300 builds now resolves to its accessibility build. Before, it errored.
    • A dashboard link /builds/<native name>/1 in a project with five "Are new tools coming? #1" builds resolves to the right one.
    • On a local test app with 8 seeded issues, comparing build Add GitHub Actions workflow for Browserstack MCP CI #5 (fixes applied) with "previous" gives 1 new, 6 resolved, 2 still open. That matches the fixes made and the one new issue the fix introduced.
    • On a project's first build, "previous" gives the first-build error.

Changes after review (Savio, Shreyas)

  • No server-wide routing line. It went to every session and repeated what the tool descriptions say, so it's removed. The "offer to write tests" directive goes with it, pending a product decision.
  • A comparison refuses a build with more scanned screens than are read.
  • Within one test, a screen that shares half of the smaller screen's elements with a screen of the other build counts as the same screen. So the fixes on a mostly fixed screen are resolved. The sheet's builds add MCP server badge #2 and Update README.md #3 still read 1 resolved, 113 not confirmed.
  • The build before a build: a build missing from its project's list, or a project not found, is an error rather than "first build".
  • A dashboard link whose name matches no build resolves to the one build with its number. It refuses to guess between several.
  • fetchAccessibilityIssues points at searchCapability for the app lists, and docs/TOOLS.md lists the three capabilities.
  • npm run build passes: 1511 tests.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • App accessibility reports now include issue summaries by severity, rule, and screen, plus counts of remaining issues.
    • Compare an app build with a previous or specified build to see new, resolved, and retained issues, with warnings when scans or tests differ.
    • Accessibility guidance now directs users to the appropriate checks for websites, web flows, and mobile apps.
  • Improvements
    • Issue pagination reports remaining counts and handles oversized results more reliably.
    • App build reports can be matched more accurately to test runs and dashboard links.

The tools alone do not tell an agent that a web page and a mobile app are
scanned differently, so a request like "check my app for accessibility" could
reach for Website Scanner, or for nothing. The server instructions now route
it: a web page to Website Scanner, a multi-step web flow to Automate with
accessibility on, an app to its tests on App Automate with accessibility on,
then fetchAccessibilityIssues. A test keeps every tool the line names
registered.

…reliable build links

- The first page of an app build or manual report counts its issues by
severity, rule and screen, so an agent need not page through every issue
to say where the problems are.
- compareWith on an app build ("previous", or an earlier build's id or
link) lists what is new, what was resolved and how many are still open,
matching issues by rule and element (its id, or its class and text). It
warns when the builds scanned different screens or ran different tests,
as an issue on a screen not reached reads as resolved. "previous" is the
newest earlier build of the same name, or the one just before it, as
each native run is named apart.
- "N more issues" is now exact on every page (it was estimated from the
first row's size past page one), and a row larger than a page is still
returned, so paging cannot stall on it.
- An App Accessibility dashboard link is resolved by build name and
number: numbers count up per build name, so a project's builds of
different names share them, and the number alone could open another build.
- An Espresso / XCUITest build link finds its accessibility build by the
run's start, among the project's newest builds, rather than by walking
the account's newest 300 App Automate builds for its name, which missed
older runs. The name still tells apart runs that started together.

📝 Walkthrough

The server now provides accessibility-tool routing instructions. App Accessibility reports include issue summaries and remaining counts. fetchAccessibilityIssues supports comparisons between app builds. Build lookup and pagination behavior also changed.

Changes: Accessibility Routing

Layer / File(s) Summary
Server accessibility routing

Report pages use API-provided remaining counts. First pages include issue summaries. Pagination reports remaining rows and advances past an oversized first row.
Build comparison tool flow
src/tools/accessibility.ts, tests/tools/accessibilityAppCompareOutput.test.ts
fetchAccessibilityIssues accepts a comparison baseline for app builds. It returns paginated new, resolved, and retained issue results, and rejects unsupported source types and self-comparisons.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to dcd94

Some native-run links may show unrelated accessibility issues, and build-list failures may produce a misleading first-build message. These are bounded lookup risks that should be corrected or explicitly accepted before merging.

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to dcd94

The changes reuse existing credentials and service connections, and the inspected comparison path performs reads rather than changing remote state. No introduced authorization bypass was identified, but report completeness and external access-control behavior are not fully established.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The inspected exposure is report and build data within the configured BrowserStack credential's service-side authorization scope, potentially across projects. Caller-supplied build references select encoded identifiers at fixed API destinations; they do not select new credentials or an arbitrary outbound host. External authorization enforcement was not independently verified.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — New rule/screen summaries, comparison issue rows, test names, and build names cross from remote report data into agent-visible output through wrapUntrusted. That helper uses randomized delimiters and an instruction to treat enclosed content as data; it is a prompt-injection mitigation, not an authorization or execution sandbox.

…aring builds

An iOS issue often names its element by neither id nor class, only by a
frame and sometimes an accessibility label, so every issue of one rule
shared a match key: 40 font-size issues in one build and 9 in the next
counted as one issue still open, and the counts no longer added up to
either build's total. Issues that look alike are now paired one for one,
those on the same screen and spot first, and the label tells unnamed
elements apart. New and still open now add up to the later build's total,
and resolved and still open to the earlier one's; the answer says so.

…the cursor

A comparison listed the first 50 new and 50 resolved issues and said how
many more there were, but gave no way to read them: passing a cursor
returned the same 50 (an eval read only 50 of 111 resolved issues). The
cursor now counts the issues already listed, and the answer names the
next one while either list has more.

…mes, page limit

- compareWith naming a build newer than the current one no longer reverses
the result: the comparison runs from the earlier build to the later,
  and says so.
- The compared builds' names and the names of tests not run again are
quoted in untrusted blocks, as the build's own name now is.
- "previous" no longer answers "first build" when it stopped at the page
limit: it says the build, or the one before it, is beyond the newest
builds read and asks for the earlier build's id or link; and when no
same-name build was found within those pages it says so rather than
  that none exists.

- A page of a project's build list that fails is reported as the failure, on the first

screens matched issues across them but read every issue on a screen the later build never
reached as resolved: build #3 of an iOS app (3 screens) against #2 (5 screens) gave 111
resolved, 113 of the earlier issues sitting on the 2 screens #3 skipped.

Screens are now recognised by the elements on them. When the builds scanned a different
number of screens, issues on an earlier screen no later screen resembles are listed as not
confirmed resolved, and issues on a later screen with no earlier counterpart as first
scanned, not new. With as many screens in each build they correspond, and a screen with
nothing left was fixed. The same comparison now reads 1 resolved, 113 not confirmed.

Review: #511

No SSRF or token issues found. tsc is clean and the 177 accessibility tests pass locally (head 6e01411). CI doesn't run tests for this stacked PR.

Medium

  • buildIssues drops the more flag from snapshots() (20-page cap), so compareAppBuilds has no screens_read equivalent. scan_count comes from metadata, so sameScreens stays true and issues past the cutoff are reported as new/resolved, while the message claims the totals add up. Carry more / screens-read through and warn or refuse.
  • screensWithoutCounterpart / SAME_SCREEN_SHARE = 0.25: screen identity is built only from issue-bearing elements. If scan counts differ and 4 of 5 issues on a shared screen are fixed, that screen falls under 25% and the genuine fixes land in "Not confirmed resolved". The live test (equal counts) wouldn't catch this. Use all scanned elements if available, or soften the wording and threshold.

Low-Medium

  • previousBuild: if the build isn't found and more is false, it falls through to "first build". Throw "build not found in its project's list" instead.
  • Dashboard-link resolution now also requires unescapedName(normalised_name) === link name, so builds that used to resolve by number alone may fail. Fall back to number-only when exactly one row matches.

Low

  • A failed build-list page now aborts native-build resolution (stricter than before). started.length === 1 is returned without a name check.
  • appIssueKey and elementIdentity disagree on what counts as a label (contentDescription).
  • compareWith has no .min(1)/trim, and the raw value is interpolated into the "More to list" instruction.
  • The baseline build isn't waited on in compareAppBuilds.
  • Missing tests: truncated snapshots, partly-fixed shared screens, not-found-in-list, empty compareWith.

AI-assisted read-only review of the diff. Items marked (unverified) were not checked against the live APIs.

…en the compare

From Savio's review:
- The accessibility routing line in the server instructions is removed (every
session paid for it, and it repeated what the tools' own descriptions say).
The "offer to write tests" directive goes with it, pending a product call.

From Shreyas's review:
- A comparison refuses a build with more scanned screens than are read, as the
issues on the rest would count as resolved or new.
- Within one test, a screen that shares half of the smaller screen's elements
with a screen of the other build is the same screen, so the fixes on a
mostly fixed screen are resolved rather than "not confirmed". The sheet's
builds (#2 and #3 of the iOS app) compare as before.
- The build before a build: a build missing from its project's list, or a
project not found by name, is an error rather than "its project's first".
- A dashboard link whose name matches no build resolves to the one build with
its number, and refuses to guess between several.

Also: fetchAccessibilityIssues points at searchCapability for the app lists,
and docs/TOOLS.md lists the three App Accessibility capabilities.

Thanks @sarve-shreyas. Addressed in 7c3853c (with the updated #506 merged in):

  • Medium (buildIssues drops more): buildIssues now carries screens_read when the build has more screens than the page limit reads. compareAppBuilds refuses such a build: Build #N has more scanned screens than are read here (the first 1000 of 1200), so a comparison would count the issues on the rest as resolved or new. Tested.
  • Medium (screen identity): confirmed live that the snapshot API lists only fail / needs_review elements, and bounding_boxes is keyed by memory addresses. So there are no non-issue elements to match on. Within one test (the test name is part of each screen's label), two screens now count as the same when they share at least half of the smaller screen's elements. Your 4-of-5-fixed case now resolves the 4 fixes. Across different tests, the 25% rule is unchanged, so one shared toolbar element doesn't tie two screens together. Both cases are tested. I re-ran the sheet's iOS builds add MCP server badge #2 and Update README.md #3 through the built code: still 1 resolved, 113 not confirmed, 6 first scanned. The "not confirmed" text is softened to "the later build did not reach it, or the issues on it were fixed".
  • Low-Medium (previousBuild): a build missing from its project's list now throws …is not in the build list of its project…, and a project that can't be found by name throws too. Neither reads as "first build" any more.
  • Low-Medium (dashboard links): when no build has the link's name, the link resolves to the one build with its number. If several builds share that number it refuses rather than guess. Both cases are tested.
  • Also from Savio's review: the accessibility routing line in the server instructions is removed (it went to every session and repeated the tool descriptions). The "offer to write tests" directive goes with it, pending a product decision. fetchAccessibilityIssues now points at searchCapability for the app lists (196 chars), and docs/TOOLS.md lists the three capabilities.

Build passes: lint, prettier, 1511 tests, tsc. The Low items aren't changed in this round.

…pp Automate links (#505)

* feat(app-automate): run App Accessibility checks on an Espresso or XCUITest build on request

runAppTestsOnBrowserStack gains an `accessibility` input (default off). The Espresso
and XCUITest build requests then carry `accessibility: true`, and the answer says how
the issues are read once the build finishes: fetchAccessibilityIssues with the App
Automate build link.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(accessibility): read App Automate build and session links

fetchAccessibilityIssues maps an App Automate build or session link to the run's App
Accessibility build. An SDK (Appium) run: any session of the build, then its test code,
which carries the TestHub build id the results went to. A native (Espresso, XCUITest)
run has no SDK session and the test-code route does not know its sessions, so it is
found by name: the build's details name its project, the App Automate build list names
the build, and App Accessibility lists the run under the same project and name. A run
without accessibility on, a build with no sessions, or one too old for the newest pages
each get a message saying so and what to pass instead.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(accessibility): keep the server entry out of the registration test

apiClient reaches src/index.ts through lib/utils, and the entry runs main() on import,
which logs a missing-credentials error under vitest. Stub it as the other tests do.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(accessibility): list App Accessibility builds and reports, and read manual reports

listAppAccessibilityReports lists what App Accessibility has on record, newest first,
with the ids fetchAccessibilityIssues reads: a project's builds (and, without a project
name, the projects, since a build list needs one), or the manual Workflow Analyzer
reports. A project name matching none exactly names the near matches.

fetchAccessibilityIssues reads a manual report by appReportId or its dashboard link.
Its issues come inline from the report's scanned screens. The API lists every
occurrence and does not mark the duplicates the dashboard folds, so the answer gives
both the occurrences retrieved and the dashboard's own count. A report that has not
ended reads as in_progress and is waited on like the other sources.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): an empty listing is not an error

The API answers an empty list with 404 ("No builds found", "No reports found") for
access-key callers. listAppAccessibilityReports now reads that as "none" and says so,
with what to drop or change; any other failure is still an error, with its status.

Found by the isolated MCP evals: a name filter that matched nothing came back as
"Request failed with status code 404".

* fix(accessibility): keep the fetch prompt within the budget with appReportId added

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(accessibility): the app source is named by buildId's description, not the prompt

Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(server): say which product checks what for accessibility

The tools alone do not tell an agent that a web page and a mobile app are
scanned differently, so a request like "check my app for accessibility" could
reach for Website Scanner, or for nothing. The server instructions now route
it: a web page to Website Scanner, a multi-step web flow to Automate with
accessibility on, an app to its tests on App Automate with accessibility on,
then fetchAccessibilityIssues. A test keeps every tool the line names
registered.

* feat(accessibility): app build summary and comparison, exact paging, reliable build links

* fix(accessibility): match look-alike app issues one for one when comparing builds

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): page a comparison's new and resolved issues with the cursor

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): address review on #505: native suites' setup, Test Observability, failed lookups

- An Espresso build with accessibility on now also sends
testObservability: true: Espresso's App Accessibility report is
generated through Test Observability, and without it the build records
  no scans.
- With accessibility on, the run-started answer names what the suite needs
to be scanned: BrowserStack's Gradle plugin and SDK for Espresso, the
embedded, initialized Swift SDK for XCUITest.
- A native build that recorded no scans gets those causes, not the SDK's
(browserstack.yml, driver fixture), which do not apply to it; the
framework comes from the build's session_data.
- A failed App Automate session lookup (401, 429, 5xx) is reported with its
HTTP status instead of as "accessibility was not on for this run".

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): address review on #506: report id shape, empty listings, untrusted report names

- appReportId must be a UUID, as a dashboard link's is: ".." would have
sent an authenticated request to another API path.
- A listing reads a 404 as empty only when the API says nothing was found
("No builds found", "No reports found"); a 404 from a wrong route or a
missing permission is an error again instead of an empty list.
- A manual report's name and link are quoted in an untrusted block, as
  build names now are.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): address review on #511: build order, untrusted names, page limit

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(accessibility): keep the no-scans note's comment on its function

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): address review on #505: say what a native suite needs before it runs

The accessibility flag's description and the tool's docs row name the instrumentation a
native suite must be built with (Espresso: the Gradle plugin and Java SDK; XCUITest: the
Swift SDK), so the agent can check before a run that would otherwise record no scans.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): address review on #506: report a failed project search, say when the tool waits

- A project search that fails (401, 403, 500) is reported as that failure, not as "No
project named …", which sent the user to fix a name that was right.
- docs/TOOLS.md says the tool waits for a finished run's report to process, and reads a
run still in progress as it is.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): address review on #511: failed build pages, native build identity

- A page of a project's build list that fails is reported as the failure, on the first
page or a later one, instead of ending the list, which made a build with earlier ones
  read as its project's first.
- A native run is matched only to a build that can be native: an SDK suite (pytest, …)
started at the same moment in the same project is no longer taken for it.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(accessibility): offer to write tests for an app that has none, in the user's framework

The routing line sent a mobile app only to its existing tests. An app with no tests yet
now has a path: the agent offers to write them, in the framework the user picks (Appium
in any SDK language, Espresso or XCUITest), and picks one, saying which, if left to it.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(accessibility): read a manual report as the dashboard does, when its route takes the key

A manual report's issues are read from the dashboard's own screens
(app_scanner/:id/snapshot?hide_duplicate_issues=true) when that route takes the access key:
the count is then the dashboard's, and each issue names its element, fix and measurements.
Until it does (it answers a key with a login redirect today), they are read from the Manual
Reports API as before, every occurrence, with the dashboard's count stated next to them.
A manual report's page names each rule's text and each screen's screenshot once, as a
build's does.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(accessibility): don't count issues on screens a later build didn't reach as resolved

Screens are numbered by scan order, so comparing builds that scanned a different number of
screens matched issues across them but read every issue on a screen the later build never
reached as resolved: build #3 of an iOS app (3 screens) against #2 (5 screens) gave 111
resolved, 113 of the earlier issues sitting on the 2 screens #3 skipped.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* refactor(accessibility): list App Accessibility work through capabilities, not a tool

The App Accessibility lists (the account's projects, a project's builds, manual reports)
are documented access-key reads with nothing to add on top, which is what the capability
registry is for. They ship as an `app_accessibility` product in
capability/app_accessibility.capability-index.json, and listAppAccessibilityReports goes.

- Three read capabilities, authored from the controllers: list_app_accessibility_projects,
  list_app_accessibility_builds and list_manual_app_accessibility_reports, on the
project, build and manual_report entities. Routing terms (app accessibility, workflow
analyzer, manual accessibility report, …) settle those questions on the product without
asking; bare "accessibility" stays shared with TRA.
- Guidance carries what the API does not say: the projects list reads `page` (not the
documented `page_number`) and has no page-size ceiling; build_name only searches the 500
newest builds; an empty list answers 404; manual reports' `created_between` is echoed
but never filters, and `user_id` applies to admins only, so neither is offered.
- check-contract.py is clean, and every capability was invoked live through
invokeCapability: projects, builds (plain and by name) and manual reports return what
the index declares; the 404 and 400 answers match their guidance.
- The manual-report and project-search messages point at the capability functions; the
project search's error handling stays, tested on the native-build path that uses it.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(accessibility): answer the project-search cases by URL, so the lookup order doesn't matter

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix: address review on #505: fail link lookups on their status, say what the run turns on

From Savio's and Shreyas's review:
- Mapping an App Automate link: the session list, the native build lookup and
the build list now fail with their status on anything but a 404 (checked
live: a native build lists no sessions, an unknown id is a 404 on each, a bad
key 401). A 401 or 5xx no longer reads as "native build", "not an Espresso
or XCUITest build" or "not among the newest builds".
- An Espresso run with accessibility says it turns Test Observability on, which
the build request does for Espresso's accessibility report.
- runAppTestsOnBrowserStack keeps main's description (297 chars); the
  accessibility argument describes itself.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix: address review on #506: read a manual report whole or say what is missing

From Shreyas's review:
- A dashboard screens page that fails after the first no longer returns the
part read as the whole: the report is read from the Manual Reports API in
  full instead.
- The Manual Reports API's issues pages fail with their page and status rather
than counting fewer issues; the report lookup treats only a 404 as an unknown
report (checked live: unknown id 404, bad key 401).
- A report with more screens than the page limit says how many were read, as an
  App Automate build does.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix: address review on #511: drop the server-wide routing text, tighten the compare
