DrawerPanelContent attaches document-level mousemove/mouseup/touchmove/touchend listeners while the splitter is dragged. Those listeners were created with useCallback(handler, []), so they kept the first render's handlers forever. Ending a drag therefore called the onResize (and used the id, position, isInline…) captured on the first render, not the current props. Any consumer passing an inline onResize that closes over state got a stale callback.
Change
The four document listeners keep a stable identity (so removeEventListener still works), but delegate to the latest handlers through a ref that is refreshed on every render.
Keyboard resizing (Enter/Esc after arrow keys) already reports the real width on main via resizeState.current.currWidth; it's now covered by tests so it can't regress to reporting 0.
Tests
Added to packages/react-core/src/components/Drawer/__tests__/DrawerPanelContent.test.tsx:
ArrowLeft → Enter reports the resized, non-zero width (305 px for a mocked 300 px panel + 5 px increment).
Same for ArrowLeft → Escape.
After a rerender with a new onResize, a 10 px mouse drag calls only the new callback, with the dragged width (310 px).
The rerender test fails without this change. The keyboard tests fail (width 0) if the width is moved back into a plain let currWidth in the component body.
yarn jest packages/react-core/src/components/Drawer: 7 suites, 52 tests passing. eslint: 0 errors on the changed files.
Demo
Both drawers below are the real component, with an inline onResize that logs the reported width, the measured panel width, and which render created the callback. Top: this branch. Bottom: the same file from main (eb3b207). Keyboard widths are correct in both. On main, every mouse drag calls the onResize from render 1.

Bug Fixes
Resizable drawer panels now use the latest resize callback after the panel updates, ensuring mouse-release events report the correct width and panel.
Keyboard resizing with Enter or Escape after pressing ArrowLeft now reports the expected panel width.
…ndlers
The document-level mousemove/mouseup/touchmove/touchend listeners in
DrawerPanelContent were memoized with useCallback(..., []) around the
first render's handlers. As a result, ending a drag called the onResize
(and id/position) captured on the first render instead of the current
props. Keep the listeners stable so they can still be removed, but
delegate to the latest handlers through a ref.
Add regression tests: onResize receives the resized (non-zero) width
after ArrowLeft then Enter/Escape, and a mouse drag reports the dragged
width to the most recent onResize after a rerender.
Drawer document-event callbacks now retain stable identities while delegating to the latest mouse and touch handlers. Tests cover keyboard resizing and confirm that mouseup after rerender calls the updated onResize callback.

Summary
Current resize handlers and interaction tests packages/react-core/src/components/Drawer/DrawerPanelContent.tsx, packages/react-core/src/components/Drawer/__tests__/DrawerPanelContent.test.tsx
Stable callbacks delegate to the current mouse and touch handlers. Tests check keyboard resize widths and verify that mouseup after rerender calls the updated onResize callback, not the previous one.
A drag could occasionally finish using a callback or panel properties that were never committed. This is a bounded risk, but the ref update should move to the commit phase.

Update latestHandlers after commit.
If React abandons a rerender during a drag, this render-time assignment can leave the document listeners using handlers from that uncommitted render. Mouseup can then call an onResize callback that was never committed, or use an uncommitted id or position. Update the ref in a commit-phase effect while keeping the document listeners stable. React advises against writing a ref during render for this reason. (react.dev)

[error] 282-282: This ref is mutated during render. React can replay or discard render work, so the mutation can leak from UI that never commits.
Move ref writes into an event handler or effect. Render must stay pure because React can replay or discard it. The predictable null-guarded lazy initialization pattern remains supported.
